Strength in Adversity
Pooja Soni’s Journey into Electric Mobility

Pooja Soni, a 31-year-old resident of Nehru Nagar, Bhopal, stepped into the Electric Vehicle (EV) sector with courage and determination during a challenging phase of her life. With her husband’s health deteriorating and the financial responsibility of the household resting largely on her shoulders, Pooja decided to enroll in Batch 3 of the Electric Vehicle Training program. Educated up to 11th standard, she was determined to build a stable source of income despite personal and emotional stress.
Balancing family responsibilities with technical training was not easy. Initially, Pooja struggled to focus during sessions and found the practical components—such as wiring, charger repair, and battery voltage testing—quite difficult. However, with continuous guidance from trainers, extra hands-on practice with tools like multimeters and charger testing equipment, and encouragement from her peers, she gradually built confidence. Over time, she mastered essential EV concepts, including battery systems, controllers, and charging mechanisms.
After successfully completing the training, Pooja secured employment at Yatri Showroom, Nehru Nagar, Bhopal, earning ₹12,000 per month. Today, she confidently manages EV servicing, charger repairs, and customer interactions while supporting her family financially. Her journey reflects resilience, strength, and the transformative power of skill development—proving that even in the face of personal hardships, women can rise, rebuild, and lead with confidence.
