Stitching a New Future
The Inspiring Journey of Sarla Patel
Inspiring Story

Sarla Patel, a 32-year-old resident of Village Jhopali, Telipura, once struggled to support her family of four on her husband’s modest daily wage income. Determined to contribute financially, she started a small shop from her home, but due to limited capital and resources, the business failed to grow. Financial pressure and uncertainty made life challenging, yet Sarla refused to give up on her dream of improving her family’s future.
Her turning point came when she enrolled in the free Sewing & Stitching training program (Batch 2) organized by Priyanshi Educational, Cultural, and Social Society (PECSS) in her village. With dedication and consistent effort, Sarla quickly mastered her skills. Within weeks, she began stitching clothes for local customers and earned appreciation for her quality work. Recognizing her potential, PECSS further supported her through entrepreneurship development training, equipping her with essential business management skills.
Today, Sarla successfully runs both her shop and a sewing business, earning ₹150–₹200 per day (approximately ₹6,000 per month). Her income now contributes significantly to household expenses and her children’s education. More than financial stability, Sarla has gained confidence, independence, and a renewed sense of purpose — proving that when skills meet opportunity, transformation is truly possible
