Hiralal Maliwad, a 31-year-old resident of Village Sarai in Nalchha block of Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, had completed his education up to Class 12 but lacked exposure to computer operations and digital services. Living in a rural area with limited employment opportunities, he struggled to secure a stable source of income to support his wife and two young children. The financial pressures of managing household responsibilities made it increasingly difficult for his family to sustain a dignified livelihood.

At this crucial juncture, Priyanshi Educational Cultural Social Society (PECSS), in collaboration with the Desai Foundation, launched a three-month free computer training program in his village. Recognizing the opportunity, Hiralal enrolled in the course with dedication and enthusiasm. During the training, he gained practical knowledge of basic computer operations, printer handling, digital and online services, and the functioning of the MP Online portal. Beyond technical skills, he also received career guidance and motivation that inspired him to start his own digital service center.

Upon completing the training, Hiralal established his own “Jai Lakshmi Center,” an MP Online service center that now provides essential services such as birth, caste, and income certificates, electricity bill payments, and online form filling for villagers. Today, he earns a stable monthly income of ₹8,000–₹10,000. His journey reflects how timely skill development and proper guidance can transform lives. Hiralal is now not only financially self-reliant but also a dependable digital service provider for his community, contributing to rural digital empowerment.
