Over the past two years, PECSS organized four Bal Health Mela Programs in the Barwani and Dhar districts of Madhya Pradesh, aimed at promoting holistic child development encompassing physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. The programs actively engaged children aged 5–16 years, along with parents and teachers, to build awareness on health, nutrition, hygiene, personal safety, menstrual hygiene, and emergency preparedness. Participatory activities such as nutrition model exhibitions, running competitions, balanced diet plate contests, rangoli competitions, and health quizzes made learning engaging while fostering confidence, creativity, and teamwork.

Key awareness sessions on Good Touch–Bad Touch, handwashing and hygiene, and first aid and emergency response strengthened children’s self-protection skills and emergency preparedness. Medical check-ups and anemia screening facilitated early detection of health issues and provided families with personalized counseling on nutrition and preventive care. The Melas concluded with certificate and prize distribution, recognizing participation and excellence among children, teachers, and volunteers. Through these vibrant community events, PECSS reinforced the importance of early health education and preventive care, empowering children to grow healthier, safer, and more confident—laying the foundation for stronger futures.
