The Transformation of Manoj Jatia
Rebuilding Confidence Through Care
Inspiring Story

Manoj Jatia (12), a Class 7 student from Shirdi village in Chittorgarh, faced a difficult childhood marked by family conflict, lack of emotional support, and irregular school attendance. Growing up in a six-member family with limited financial stability, Manoj often felt isolated and withdrawn, which affected both his confidence and academic performance.
Under the BCL CSR Program, the PECSS team initiated family counselling and maintained consistent engagement with him. Through play-based activities and emotional mentoring under the Shiksha Saarthi Program, Manoj gradually overcame fear and hesitation. With continuous guidance from his teacher and the project team, he began attending classes regularly, actively participating in lessons, completing homework, and engaging confidently in group activities. His positive transformation has also been appreciated by the school principal.
Manoj’s journey highlights the power of trust, mentoring, and sustained community-based support in helping vulnerable children not only improve academically but also grow socially and emotionally.
