The percentage of school dropouts in India is very high. Even a large number of tribal girls leave school every year. We are working on this issue in tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh with the support of Jindal Foundation, Delhi. Under the project we are promoting education and re-linking school dropout youths with education as well as with vocational education. Under this, children leaving school during 8th to 10th grade are given quality education through evening classes so that they are encouraged to join the educational process again. With this, children are re-enrolled in schools. Also, children studying in 8th to 10th classes are also given quality education on every subject through evening classes, so that they can score good marks in board examinations. Along with this, children are also provided with career guidance and life skills training, this strengthens their self-confidence and makes them aware and motivated for their bright future.
